Hello and welcome to the Podium RVA Giving Tuesday 2023 landing page!
Thank you for your continued involvement and dedication to Podium and the youth we serve. You make our work possible. Giving Tuesday is the largest international day of giving each year, so let's work together to shine a spotlight on the incredible work we do with our family and friends!
- Use the button at the bottom of the page to download Giving Tuesday graphics and social media post language to use, and see below for instructions on how to set up a Facebook or Instagram fundraiser.
- We are hosting a friendly competition between Podium's Board of Directors, Young Professionals Board, and staff! The team who raises the most donations through Facebook and Instagram fundraisers wins!
- Podium will be recognizing our Giving Tuesday champions for:
- Top overall team
- Top individual fundraiser during this challenge (aka: the most raised)
- Top individual number of donors during this challenge (aka: the greatest participation)
Goal: To raise $3,000 across all participating groups.
How: Post about Podium RVA with the hashtag #GivingTuesday leading up to and on Nov 28th! Below is a button you can press to download a folder of Giving Tuesday graphics and language to use in your own social media posts. The first three posts are for before Nov 28th, and the last four are day-of posts.
Setting up your fundraiser:
- Set a realistic fundraiser goal between $50 - $5,000. You know your friends, family, and network, who might seem likely to respond, and what their capacity to give is, so set what fits best with your crowd!
- Pro tip: It's always helpful to start off donations with one from yourself (the ole' - if one person does it, others will follow principle)!
- Invite anywhere between 10 - 30 people who want to support you and are likely to support our mission. You don't have to invite everyone, just folks you feel comfortable sharing this with!
- Thank folks who donate by liking and commenting on their donation, and by following up in real life.
